Pre-installation Checks
We recommend conducting pre-installation checks before installing your used engine or used transmission. These checks are crucial as they contribute to the efficient performance and enhanced durability of the engine/transmission.
Crafted from our years of experience, here are our installation guidelines, exclusively for you.
- Turbochargers and superchargers are excluded from the long block and are not covered by warranty unless expressly stated otherwise in written documentation.
- Prior to accepting the delivery, please inspect the used engine and used transmission for any physical damages. If you identify any damage, make a note of it on the delivery receipt and promptly contact us. DO NOT use the merchandise before reaching out to us."
- We recommend examining all gaskets and seals, and replacing them if necessary. Any engine experiencing a blown head gasket or overheating will automatically void the warranty.
- Rotate the crankshaft fully before installation. If it fails to turn over, please contact us immediately.
- For a timing belt engine, replace the timing belt, tensioner, and related components before installation. Timing belts, chains, and other components are not covered by warranty and should be thoroughly inspected if the timing cover is easily removable.
- Ensure to replace the engine oil and install a new oil filter.
- Include new anti-freeze/coolant during the process.
- Resealing of the lower oil pan is required.
We suggest installing the following components along with the engine to ensure optimal performance from the purchased digitalagency /used transmission.

- Install and gap new spark plugs
- New gaskets on your valve covers

Warranty Terms
- The warranty for the used engines provided by our organization is limited to the engine assembly only. Components such as blocks, heads, pistons, crankshafts, camshafts, rockers, and other internal parts are considered the only warranted elements in an engine assembly. Additional items such as switches, sensors, cables, electronics, belts, hoses, water pumps, manifold, wire harnesses, valve covers, gaskets, brackets, oil pan, flywheel, and other associated auxiliary items may still be included with the engine for convenience and protection during shipment. However, they are not covered under warranty as they are not considered part of the engine assembly.
- The warranty for the used engines provided by our organization is limited to the engine assembly only. - Despite our best efforts to deliver high-quality, well-performing vintage motors and transmissions (up to 35 years old), we cannot ensure their appearance. While the used engine is guaranteed for reliable performance, the warranty claim does not extend to issues related solely to the engine's appearance. We strongly recommend inspecting all parts immediately upon receipt and promptly reporting any discrepancies to our support line at 1800-518-9776. It is advised that customers do not decline a shipment, as this allows it to be picked up at the company's expense as part of a warranty claim, reducing the risk of lost shipments. Any declined shipments will be subject to order cancellation terms
- To facilitate an order, Used Engines Inc. applies charges such as labor charges, freight charges, cost of pallet, bubble wraps, straps, etc. If an order is canceled after 24 hours of payment, a 20% restocking fee is levied to offset company expenses. Additionally, a two-way shipping cost is incurred if the purchased merchandise has already been shipped.
- OEM auto parts are interchangeable between various makes and models. At Used Engines Inc., we utilize a VIN compatibility tool to verify that the used engines and transmissions for sale are suitable for your car. While some adjustments may be necessary for fitting, our Return and Refunds policies will still apply to cover instances where an incompatible engine is sent to customers.
- Although we diligently verify compatibility using the VIN for every order, there might be instances where additional information is needed to confirm the engine/transmission variant. In the event that a customer provides inaccurate information or orders the wrong engine, they will be liable for covering the two-way shipping costs and any price difference, if applicable, between the replacement order and the original one. Refusing a replacement will be treated as order cancellation, incurring a restocking fee according to our policies.
- In the event of encountering an issue with the purchased used engine, we will promptly initiate a replacement process upon approval. If, for any reason, the replacement does not meet the expected standards, we will initiate a FULL REFUND back to the source account. Customers have a 30-day window from the date of delivery to inform us of any issues with the replaced used engine/transmission. Please note that we cannot initiate a claim for any issues reported after 30 days of receiving the replacement.
- If you have any questions or concerns regarding your purchase, please reach out to us promptly for a swift response during the warranty period. Holding onto a problematic item for more than 30 days may eliminate the possibility of revival and also restrict our ability to approve a claim.
- The warranty offered by Used Engines Inc. cannot be transferred.
- Unless explicitly indicated in writing, our warranty exclusively covers parts; labor charges are not encompassed.
- Deposits made for part reservations or special orders are non-refundable.
Warranty will be Void if
- Non-compliance with preinstallation checks will nullify the warranty.
- The warranty will be void if a diagnostic report for the issue is not provided by an ASE certified mechanic.
- If the purchased used engine is not installed within 90 days from the date of purchase, the warranty will be void.
- Return or replacement of used engines/merchandise is required due to any accident or misuse.
- The warranty becomes void if the Digital Agency/Merchandise has been repaired or modified without our confirmed support.
- The warranty is nullified if the used engine/merchandise is damaged due to overheating or lack of lubrication.
- The warranty is void if the used engine/merchandise is returned with missing or melted heat tabs.
- The warranty does not cover any electrical or electronic issues
- he warranty does not cover oil leaks resulting from failed seals or gaskets
- The merchandise is modified or not returned in the same condition as it was sent.
- The warranty will be void if complete troubleshooting steps are not exhausted to isolate the root cause of the engine failure or if the part is removed/dismantled before our inspection.

1. If I order a used engine, what all parts will be on it?
You will receive a complete engine assembly that includes the block, head, piston, camshaft, crankshaft, and other internal components. Some parts, change-over accessories, and wear-and-tear items may be left on the engine for your convenience, but there won’t be any additional charges for them, and they won’t be covered by the warranty.
2. Are used engines reliable and durable?
Exclusively stocks verified and tested used engines that have undergone thorough quality assessments by ASE certified experts. The lifespan of a used engine is also contingent upon proper maintenance. With timely care, a used engine can exceed your expectations and provide extended service life.
3. How do I make a purchase?
Call one of our sales experts at Support@usedengines.com to place an order. Our website will soon feature online ordering. We accept all major credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Discover Card, etc.). You can also send us cashier’s checks or money orders. Please note that cashier’s checks and money orders take longer to process. After we receive the cashier’s check or money order, we will contact you to verify your order and ship it out in accordance with our delivery commitment.
4. What if I receive defective, wrong or damaged merchandise?
All orders placed come with a 6-month return and replacement warranty will cover all shipping costs for warranty-certified returns in the exact amounts. Please refer to our Returns and Refund page for more details.
